Acclaimed Sichuan restaurant Meizhou Dongpo set to open at Culver Plaza Shopping Center

IRVINE, Calif. — Meizhou Dongpo, an acclaimed Sichuan eatery with more than 120 locations in China, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, is set to open its first Orange County location this month.
At 6,000-square-feet, Meizhou Dongpo will be an upscale, sit-down restaurant serving flavorful and fiery cuisine, all in a modern and sleek setting. The expansive menu will include its famous house special, the Meizhou roasted duck along with dimsum brunch items such as dan dan noodles, Meizhou pork buns, Sichuan dumplings and dinner favorites such as mapo tofu, wok-fried string beans and kung pao chicken.
“We’re excited to bring such a well-regarded and chic culinary brand to Orange County and especially to our Irvine community,” said Easther Liu, chief marketing officer for Irvine Company Retail Properties. “Meizhou Dongpo will be a great fit to the center and neighborhood.”
In addition to a main dining room, the restaurant will also feature three banquet rooms for private parties and events.

Culver Plaza Shopping Center is also home to Pokeworks, Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, Sam Woo, J.J. Bakery Cafe, Tasty Noodle House, Tea Station and a 99 Ranch Market.
