Friendsgiving: Kids Share Their Favorite Gathering Spots

Some of the best childhood memories are made after school. It’s all about those moments where you’re sharing a smoothie with your best friends, or spending early mornings laughing over hot cocoa and jelly donuts with your teammates. Those are the memories that really stick. These local school kids share their favorite spots to hang with their friends – and sometimes they even invite their siblings. Levain Bakery

“I love Levain cookies. They’re really delicious. This one, the chocolate chip one, is my favorite. (Two Chip Chocolate Cookie), it has two types of chocolate. Next, I’m going to try the chocolate chip brioche. My mom really likes the baguette with butter + jam. It’s really good too. But, my sister, brother, and I like cookies!”

Sushi Roku

“My favorite thing about Sushi Roku is the dumplings (American wagyu potsticker “gyoza”). They have a lot of meat in them. The wrapper, that just builds around it, and I like them because I normally like dumplings. I would’ve rated the bacon-wrapped shrimp as number one. But the chili garlic sauce was too spicy for me. Number three is the avocado crispy rice (hanabi) and, fourth would be this (the white lotus roll with popcorn shrimp tempura, avocado, and asparagus, topped with albacore, crispy onions, and a dash of wasabi truffle soy). It’s fun eating here with my family.
