Magikid Robotics Irvine invites students, educators, families, creators, engineers, and innovators to participate in the 2026 NASA International Space Apps Challenge – Irvine, a global hackathon powered by NASA’s open data and resources.

Participants will work in teams to explore real-world challenges related to Earth and space, develop creative ideas, and turn those ideas into innovative projects. No programming experience is required—participants can contribute through science, engineering, robotics, coding, data, design, art, research, storytelling, and other creative skills.

The Irvine community has achieved outstanding recognition in previous NASA Space Apps Challenges, including Global Nominee, Best Use of NASA Data, Most Innovative Solution, Best Creativity & Art, Local Impact, and Community Impact awards.

The 2026 Irvine event welcomes participants who already have a team, are looking for teammates, or simply want to explore what NASA Space Apps is all about.
