The Yellow Chilli to open first U.S. location in the Bay Area

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The Yellow Chilli, an international chain of casual Indian restaurants, will open its first United States location at Monticello Apartment Homes in Santa Clara.

The Yellow Chilli takes pride in its offering of tasty Indian cuisine with a difference drawn from North-West Frontier cuisine and exotic picks from the regions of Punjab and the Mughal Era. Its mission is to provide food lovers a range of scrumptious dishes served impeccably in a high tech atmosphere at down-to-earth prices.

The menu bears Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s stamp of authority with his signature dishes, including Lalla Mussa Dal (a blend of black and green lentils cooked slowly overnight with essential spices and cream, ghee and butter added for richness); Shaam Savera (spinach koftas filled with creamed cottage cheese and served floating on a velvety tomato butter gravy); Zannat-E-Numa (an exotic version of a stuffed potato in green spinach gravy); Puran Singh da Tariwala Murgh (chicken curry in gravy inspired by a dhaba, or roadside restaurant, on the famous Ambala Delhi Highway); and Gulab-e-Gulkand (soft, condensed milk balls stuffed with candy rose petals) and many other exciting dishes.
